Regulatory Relief Act of 2006—Regulatory Requirements Unchanged

The Regulatory Relief Act passed with no change to the annual privacy notices requirement. The bill passed by the House of Representatives would have changed the annual requirement for some institutions. The Senate did not agree with that provision and the final bill signed into law requires that financial institutions continue to provide annual privacy notices.

Institutions that anticipated a change and have not yet distributed their annual privacy notices may find that our new standard disclosure is an ideal solution for quickly and cost-effectively addressing the annual requirement that is still in effect.

Addressing Privacy Requirements Just Got More Convenient

Privacy issues and disclosures remain as important today as they were five years ago. To help you address your ongoing privacy obligations without tying up important resources, we have introduced a faster, less expensive option.

Now, you can choose from two convenient methods for generating trusted privacy disclosures:

  1. Privacy disclosure development option:  Work with our experienced document editors to help tailor the language, policies, and services to match your specific requirements. Choose from preprinted cover designs or electronic versions, several marketing text options, Spanish or English versions, and different disclosure and opt-out formats.

  2. NEW standard disclosure option:  Receive your privacy disclosure documents faster and at a cost-effective price. Choose from disclosure versions that best fit your business.
    • Institutions that do not share information with affiliates or
      non-affiliates
    • Institutions that share information with an outside marketer that handles direct mail for the institution.

Both approaches offer you the same level of trusted documentation that you’ve come to expect.
