Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Launches International Expansion of Securities Compliance Solutions
Leading Compliance Tools and Services Offered to Meet Needs of UK Securities Industry

LONDON - (May 15, 2007) – Wolters Kluwer Financial Services today announced an initiative to expand its Securities Compliance Solutions offerings to meet the needs of financial organisations in the United Kingdom. With this move, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services joins other Wolters Kluwer businesses, including CCH, Croner and Ovid, in supporting U.K. companies.

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services will help financial professionals—particularly those working in the areas of compliance, legal and accounting—meet regulatory requirements by expanding its leading securities solutions to serve U.K. companies that do business in the United States. The following products are now available to U.K. securities firms:

  • CCH® Examiner automates the surveillance process to help compliance departments effectively monitor employee personal trading activity in accordance with best practice and industry regulations.

  • CCH® Wallstreet Compliance Resource Network (CRN) offers fast and convenient access to a comprehensive list of the most up-to-date laws, regulations and news issued by securities regulatory bodies, including the NASD, NYSE and SEC.

  • CCH® Capital Changes provides definitive facts and figures to address the tax consequences of corporate actions, such as stock splits, spin-offs, mergers and dividends, that affect publicly traded securities of U.S., U.K. and other international companies.

“Wolters Kluwer Financial Services provides the compliance content, analytics, technology and services financial organisations need to meet various regulatory guidelines and to minimise risk,” said Brian Longe, the company’s president and CEO. “Until now, these solutions have been geared toward the U.S. marketplace. However, the growth of businesses into multiple geographic markets has led us to expand our focus to help financial organisations in the United Kingdom address the compliance and operational risk management challenges they face while doing business in the United States.”

“The demand for global financial products and services is increasing, particularly in the securities area, as individuals and companies look to diversify portfolios and invest abroad,” said David Stephens, executive vice president of the Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ Securities and Insurance group. “This requires a dedication to regulatory and technological intelligence, which is a key strength of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. We are very excited to offer our securities solutions and services to meet the needs of financial organisations in the United Kingdom.”
