MINNEAPOLIS – July 30, 2007 – Wolters Kluwer Financial Services today announced that it has named Ken Newton executive vice president of Banking Content. Newton will be responsible for the company’s overall growth in the banking, credit union, indirect lending and mortgage markets. Newton is an industry veteran with leadership experience that spans sales, marketing, product and business development and operations. Most recently, Newton served as the vice president and chief operations officer for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, where he led the operational aspects of the organization’s manufacturing, customer support, product distribution and enterprise systems. He also led the implementation of Lean Six Sigma across Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. “Ken’s combination of industry experience and leadership credentials will help us strengthen our relationships with our customers and further position the company as a regulatory compliance leader,” said Brian Longe, president and chief executive officer for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. “I am pleased to have him in this new role.” Prior to joining the company in 2005, Newton was an executive vice president for Graphics Microsystems Incorporated, where he led its business development efforts. He served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of AB Dick Company, and prior to that he was CEO of Screen U.S.A., a digital prepress company. He held the role of vice president of Sales and Marketing for Konica Imaging Corporation and he also spent a number of years in sales, sales management and marketing roles, as well as serving as the manager of Strategic and Product Planning and Management for Agfa Corporation. Newton is an accomplished speaker, writer and instructor in the areas of operational excellence, sales effectiveness and leadership. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Missouri State University.
