Due to the destruction caused by severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, flooding, and landslides beginning on August 17, 2018, the President has declared several counties in Wisconsin a federal disaster. As a result, individuals that reside in or have a business located in an affected area may qualify for tax relief.

The tax relief postpones until December 17, 2018 certain deadlines falling on or after August 17, 2018 and before December 17, 2018. Deadlines that apply to individual retirement accounts (IRAs), Health Saving Accounts (HSAs), Coverdell Education Savings Accounts (CESAs), and other tax advantaged accounts that fall within this time period are extended.
